A combination of hard work, vision and a determination to put the customer first has helped to build Polesworth Garage into one of the most successful motor dealerships in the region.

When Chairman Bill Newbold took the helm in 1969, turnover was running at around £19,000 p.a. That figure has now increased to a massive £14 million p.a. - evidence of the huge growth which the business has enjoyed over the years.

These days the business is run by Managing Director Martin Newbold, and around 1500 vehicles a year are sold through the sales operation. An additional service department, accident repair centre and petrol supply business all operate from the same site.

The site itself has also changed beyond all recognition. "There's not a single brick left on site from the early days," Mr Newbold commented. "We've always moved with the times - we were the first company in the area to have a low bake paint system for example. We've always taken the view that if you look after the customer, they'll look after you, and that means doing our best at all times."
